Ned Beatty: "It's true, Lewis, what you said. There's something in the woods and the water that we've lost in the city."

Burt Reynolds: "We didn't lose it... We sold it."

Ronny Cox: "Well, I'm tellin' ya, Lewis... I don't want any part of it."

Burt Reynolds: "Well, you are a part of it!"

Cox: "It is a matter of the law!!"

Reynolds: "The law? Hah! The law? What law?... Where's the law, Drew? Huh??... You believe in democracy, don't ya?"

Cox: "Yes, I do."

Reynolds: "Well, then we'll take a vote... I'll stand by it... and so will you."
